“Football hooligan to life in God”
Gram was a violent drunk who survived multiple stabbings as a former football hooligan who spent years in prison.
At his worst could drink 28 pints of cider a day.
By the time he was 26 he had served four jail terms after becoming a member of the Front Line, a notorious gang of hooligans who followed Middlesbrough Football Club.
On his rampages at grounds across the country, he had his right eye slashed, was stabbed four times in the arm and chest, and had the end of a little finger chopped off.
When returned home to Teesside he found that all his old friends had moved on, so he turned to heroin and crack cocaine.
Life became so desperate that he even slashed his wrists At the age of 32, his body shut down and he spent six days in a coma suffering from blood poisoning, hypothermia, liver damage and kidney failure.

Men Together Hiking - TBC
A truly wonderful walk we did on Saturday.
Pateley Bridge to Brimham Rocks.
Great weather, great fellowship and boat loads of laughter and good natured banter.
Certainly very good for our mental health and well being.
Pictures show the joy of the hike 😎☀😁
Always happy for you to join us some time.
Hikes are usually 2nd Saturday of each month..
